Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a contract
opportunity. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for
developing, executing, and documenting complex financial analyses,
this role requires knowledge and competency in financial and
accounting principles, as well as proficiency in computerized
applications. Utilizing tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Excel, the
Senior Financial Analyst prepares analytical summaries and offers
recommendations to aid managerial decision-making. The role
encompasses financial planning, analysis, and reporting, including
reviewing operating results, assisting with monthly financial
closing activities, and preparing financial models. The Senior
Financial Analyst also conducts ad hoc analyses and creates
presentations to support budgeting and forecasting cycles. Working
independently with broad discretion on varied and intricate
assignments, the Senior Financial Analyst provides leadership in
workflow and information management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Department OperationsAssist the VP/Finance and Assistant Manager,
Finance in achieving established departmental goals.
Plan and conduct in-depth analyses on a variety of comprehensive
complex financial issues and prepare result summaries and
recommendations.
Financial Reporting - utilizing SQL and Power BI, ensure all
department reporting is developed in an automated and sustainable
manner.
Financial Modeling - responsible for the development and
maintenance of advanced financial modeling in support of senior
leadership initiatives; analyze the impact of various business
strategies.
Support project efforts, testing and quality assurance.
Confidently build relationships and work independently with third
party vendors and external contacts.
Identify areas of process improvement and initiate action towards
implementation.
Profitability Analysis - support the development and maintenance of
Member, branch and product cost tracking and profitability analysis
system, and analysis/reporting schedules.
Act as point person for new data requests; collaborate with the IT
department in development and maintenance of enterprise level
datasets with direction from Assistant Manager, Finance.
Serve as a resource to management and staff to assist in better
understanding of financial results and measurement systems; respond
to approved report and analysis requests.
Serve as back-up to Financial Analyst(s) for Peer Benchmarking
analysis.
REQUIREMENTS:The ideal candidate has a combination of education and
experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in accounting,
finance, or related field
5+ years of professional financial analysis experience.
Experience in depository financial institution processes and
procedures or similar experience is preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting and financial statement
analysis.
Ability to operate a PC with advanced knowledge and proficiency of
various software programs including SQL, Excel, Word, PowerPoint,
and Databases.
Technically proficient in Power BI report development and
governance.
Experience with depository financial institution financial modeling
and forecasting and analysis of line of business profitability is
preferred.
Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to view
business operations and financials through a risk-oriented
mindset.
Ability to proactively prioritize goals, expectations, and
deadlines.
Ability to organize workflow efficiently, self-direct personal
training needs and utilize available resources.
Ability to perform complex analysis, draw logical conclusions and
make recommendations when needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to act independently and confidently with little or no
supervision.
Ability to distinguish and manage confidential information,
materials, and conversations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
in a diverse environment, including working with team members and
management from other departments.
