fully remote through August 2025 with the expectation that
employees will begin working 2 days per week in our dedicated
office space in San Francisco starting in September of 2025.About
the Role:As Director of Business Development, you will be
responsible for the revenue strategy and execution of Taskrabbit's
partnership business - a new and fast-growing source of company
revenue. You will develop go-to-market motions and commercial
structures that enable us to grow revenue from retail and property
management partners rapidly, and you'll negotiate and close
transformational opportunities when they arise. You'll also serve
as our evangelist of Taskrabbit's B2B investment, sharing the voice
of our partners and advocating for their needs with our executive
team and your cross-functional stakeholders.What You'll Do:Revenue
Strategy and Execution:
- Build and execute a business development strategy that grows
revenue for Taskrabbit's assembly, mounting, and delivery lines of
business.
- Identify, negotiate, and close Taskrabbit's highest-impact
partnership opportunities, including first-in-kind deals and
strategic partnerships.
- Evaluate the partnership landscape regularly to define
Taskrabbit's Ideal Customer Profile and identify opportunities for
innovation and competitive differentiation.Leadership & Team
Management:
- Manage and mentor a Partner Development and Partner Managers
team, fostering growth, accountability, and professional
development.
- Provide clear direction and coaching, setting measurable goals
aligning with company objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team
culture.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and
Operations teams to ensure our product roadmap enables seamless
revenue growth.
- Act as the liaison between external partners and internal
teams, ensuring smooth cross-functional alignment and
communication.
- Represent business development in internal strategy
discussions, influencing product and marketing decisions to drive
partnership success.Who You Are:You are excited by the opportunity
to build and shape a nascent program at an established
organization. You enjoy creating processes and programs where none
exist and are comfortable navigating ambiguity. You collaborate
effectively with a cross-functional team and have successfully
partnered with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations
functions to drive business outcomes. Your experience in retail,
property management, and/or marketplace businesses offers you
valuable insight into industry-specific opportunities and
challenges.
- 10+ years of professional experience in business development,
partnerships, or Enterprise sales, preferably with a Marketplace,
Logistics, or Retail/e-commerce focus.
- Minimum of 4 years of direct people management experience,
leading teams to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with
expertise in engaging senior executives and external
stakeholders.
- Proven track record of building processes and systems to
standardize rapidly growing lines of business.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data for
strategic decision-making.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and adaptable to change.At
Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be
competitive, transparent and equitable. Total compensation consists
of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.The base pay range for this
position is $157,000 - $218,000. This range is representative of
base pay only, and does not include any other total cash
compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final
offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, and will be
determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant
experience, qualifications, geography, and level.You'll love
