A Final Secret clearance required to start with ability to obtain and maintain Final Top Secret clearance.Classified Cybersecurity ISSOs help secure lifesaving products and critical state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing systems by applying cutting edge cybersecurity principles. Rising to the challenge of building a more secure world for the warfighter, space exploration, climate sustainability and commercial use.This position will perform duties as an Information Systems Security Officer at the Lockheed Martin Space facility in Sunnyvale, CA.The work that ISSOs do can be summarized in this way:

  • Support day-to-day information system security operations including hardware and software implementations.
  • Carry out technical administration of IS in accordance with internal LM and customer security requirements, primarily Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events.
  • Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to address non-compliance in the allotted time frame.
  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan.
  • Auditing is a large part of this role's responsibility.Desired skills:
  • Knowledge of network security (e.g., encryption, firewalls, authentication, perimeter protection).
  • Knowledge of network design processes, to include understanding of security objectives, operational objectives, and trade-offs.
  • Knowledge of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), classified computer operations and experience with the technical configuration requirements for various operating Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience executing Security Hardening on diverse LINUX and Windows Operating Systems based on approved DISA STIGs and SRGs.
  • Advanced knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) as Subject Matter Expert (SME) implementation across multiple phases of a large program.
  • Demonstrated technical experience configuring Windows, Networking, and NIX-based operating systems IAW DISA STIGs.
  • In-depth experience in system hardening, analysis, and vulnerability management.
  • Knowledgeable in Solaris/UNIX/Linux command line.
  • Experience implementing complex technologies at multiple classification levels within large environments and at an Enterprise level.Security Clearance Information:This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Security Clearance: Top SecretWork Schedule Information:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
